Description: Located on the top floor of the Robinson Film Center in downtown Shreveport, this casual, film-themed, industrial-contemporary restaurant, open since 2008, seems like it was teleported here from New York. Once you see the menu, you may be convinced of it. For lunch, try the chicken and waffles: half Belgian waffle, a finely cooked crispy chicken breast, green tomato pickles, and maple beurre blanc sauce. The soup of the day is always interesting and delicious. For dinner, consider starting with the duck confit salad, followed with a crab-stuffed avocado and any of the incredible entrees. Ask about the chef’s seafood special. While many filmgoers eat here before or after the show, it has become a destination unto itself because of its own level of excellence. During the week, many folks who work downtown stop by for a drink from the full bar and nosh on an appetizer or two. Abby Singer’s can accommodate 72 guests and has banquet facilities for 150. Catering services are also available. Reservations are necessary only for people attending one of the theaters. On-street parking with local parking lots nearby. Open Mon through Thurs, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Fri and Sat from 12 to 11 p.m., and Sun from 12 to 8 p.m. So enjoy a terrific meal and plan on seeing a phenomenal film as well. A great date night location.
