Description: Another one of those old seaside Victorians, complete with turrets, the Beachmere was a private home that just kept expanding, and it’s now a multilevel, multiporched wonder. The main building is just one of the many options at the inn, which has several cottages, off-site houses, and a motel unit. But the big old manor is the grandest, lording over expansive lawns and a rocky shore, and it has its own little beaches and access to the oceanfront walking path called the Marginal Way. The rooms are pleasant and several have fireplaces or kitchenettes in addition to balconies that look out over the Atlantic. All have private baths. They have Wi-Fi and cable TV as well, but you’re going to want to watch the beach instead. Many rooms are large enough to accommodate Mom, Dad, the kids, and maybe an extraneous grandparent, aunt, or uncle.
