Description: Many people are unaware that there is a golf course in the Camden-Rockport area, so tucked away is this gem. On a back road on the inland side of Rockport, not far from Bald and Ragged Mountains, it’s listed in guidebooks with both Camden and Rockport addresses, so it’s understandably difficult for the casual visitor to the area to find. But anyone with an interest in whacking a few should seek these greens out. The course is a bent grass, par 71 setup with water in play. Alternate tees make the 9-hole course almost like an 18-holer. Weekends can be busy, so tee times are necessary, and they can be reserved a week in advance. There are a snack bar and lounge on the premise for après-swing, a full pro shop, cart and club rentals, and a resident pro handy to give you tips. Open from mid-April through late October.
