Description: A popular neighborhood bar and casual eatery, the Dundee Dell has been around for what seems like forever. Decorated in traditional dive bar decor of big booths, rickety tables, lots of beer signs, and random memorabilia, the Dell, as it’s affectionately known, also serves a mean bag of fish and chips. A huge beer list arranged by price on a separate menu means even the most discerning drinker will find something to love, and those who order a glass of wine can expect a healthy pour for a more than reasonable price. The fish and chips are served with some delicious fried sliced potatoes, and diners can choose to dunk the lot in tartar sauce, ketchup, or vinegar (the last is definitely the best). The rest of the menu features bar food at its finest, and the Dell also makes a mean patty melt. The Dell has regular monthly beer tastings on the third Sunday of the month at 4 p.m. and the third Wednesday at 7 p.m. Scotch tastings take place the first Sunday of every month at 4 p.m. and the first Wednesday at 7 p.m. It also plays host to the periodic wine tasting or other special events; check the website for the most recent details.
