Description: For scenic Lake Tahoe views and peeks at luxurious gated estates, you can run, walk, or bike the 2.5-mile paved path along Lakeshore Boulevard in Incline Village. For your first visit to Lake Tahoe, it’s a great way to get oriented and to ease into the laid-back tempo of mountain life. The level course parallels the shore of the lake, winding through huge trees and past gorgeous beaches. You can access the path easily all along the way, but it’s convenient to park at the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort & Casino and begin your outing there. Don’t forget the family dog (leashed): The route is a veritable dog show, with every breed imaginable on display by proud owners. At the end of your walk, I suggest enjoying your favorite drink by the firepit on the beach in front of the Hyatt (see the Resorts chapter for details).
