Description: After a couple of years of sliding subscriber interest, the city magazine has a new owner and yet another new editor. After a massive redesign, Cincinnati Magazine certainly looks glitzier and more colorful.Features include a column by editor Jay Stowe, shopping advice, and our favorite, the back page’s “Please?” trivia section. Each month, a unique Cincinnati person or institution is profiled; it’s here that we learn that Graeter’s peach flavor of ice cream is the most popular (available only in the month of July), and it’s here we first read about the exploits of the late Dick Von Hoene, a Cincinnati cult classic in his persona as “the Cool Ghoul” (Von Hoene was the host of Channel 19’s horror movie lineup for years).The magazine is well known for its dining critiques and restaurant listings, including its annual “Dining Out Guide,” which provides a complete list of area restaurants.
