Description: For sure-fire fun, head to Revolutions. This locals’ favorite has been voted Myrtle Beach’s No. 1 nightclub numerous times by Sun News readers. Featuring songs from the ’60s, ’70s, and ’80s, Revolutions has become a surprising dance-hall hit around here. Music making alternates between DJs and bands, with performers dressed in bell-bottoms, wedgies, and Afro wigs. This is a happening place on weekends. Don’t be afraid to don your white jacket and medallions. Get ready to bump the night away to a K.C. and the Sunshine Band tune; say “groovy” all you want. Revolutions is open seven nights a week from 8 p.m., Apr through Oct. It’s open only Wed through Sat the rest of the year. A $5 cover charge is always the case on weekends; $7 when a live band is playing. The cover charge also entitles you to admission at Blarney Stones as well as Crocodile Rocks—the home of dueling pianos—across the Square.
