Description: El Paso’s only boutique hotel, the Artisan Hotel is the picture of chic. Located right downtown, this deluxe hotel is artsy, cozy, and hip. The black tiled entrance creates an almost art deco feel, and as you enter the hotel, the first things you notice are paintings displayed prominently throughout the lobby, lounge, and even on the ceiling. Dim lighting and antique mirrors create an opulent atmosphere and as you check in, the “Mona Lisa” gives a wry look from behind the lobby desk. Every room here is themed, displaying works of master artists backset by wallpapers in richly lavish colors and atypical striped bedspreads. The hotel’s Artisan Cafe and Lounge has a design inspired by the watering hole in Las Vegas which shares its namesake. The fifth floor pool will make you feel like you’re in LA rather than El Paso, with incredible views of downtown from pillow topped sun chairs. Valet parking is available for a daily fee.
