Ordered the largest blizzard, Pecan Cluster. Also gave $3.50 to the family behind me who only were going to get glasses of water on their way to the park, and had no money. Tipped them a dollar and some change.
I knew the blizzard didn't look right, but figured it just wasn't mixed. Went to my car and dug to the bottom and stirred, but it still looked like vanilla ice milk with a sparse sprinkling of pecans on top. Dug up a minute portion of barely visible to the naked eye chocolate specks. There was no caramel/butterscotch flavor to the ice cream whatsover. So went back to the window, and got barked at by a middle-aged grey-haired fellow who said "She made it by the recipe. See that?? That's chocolate!!" Rather rude. I said it didn't look like any blizzard I had ever gotten there before (I have frequented this exact outdoor-only D.Q. for at least 50 years!) He repeated, "That's chocolate! It's in there!" so I told him I guess I'd have to find another D.Q. to go to, and I'd been coming there my whole life ... he shrugged and said "Fine!" and that was that. All of this in front of a large crowd of folks waiting in the two long lines.
I don't know if this is new management, or the same as got the bad cleanliness write-up above, but boy, was I disappointed, both in the product, and (especially) the service. So sad. Also sad that I spent about ten bucks there for nothing. I hope that family behind me got a better product and polite service.
