We had been going to Mike's Olympic Diner for the past several years until our last unfortunate experience. First the waitress took our order and brought our drinks just fine but she didn't give us straws and when we politely asked for them she just threw a pile of them on the table. Next, at least TWENTY minutes later she came back to confirm our order we suspect she had forgotten to put in. Then when our food did arrive all orders had issues. Wrong sauce on one, no sauce on another, one had a wrong side and the last was completely wrong. When my wife tried to point out the issues to the our server, the waitress yelled at her. Apparently it is condescending to ask a server for something. This person should not be in the service industry. My wife was polite, what would she have done with someone who was actually nasty like so many staten islanders are. I was in the service industry on staten island for 4 years and I would never have said anything to a customer like she said to us. One day she will say something to the wrong person.
