My aeronautics class at LaPorte High School is doing a group-project on Indiana airports and my group picked yours. We were wondering if you could send us pamphlets or information about your airport

I am a son of a Tuskegee Airman. My father, Wendell N. Cotton was stationed at Tuskegee Airfield in December of 1942. The Atlanta chapter of the Tuskegee Airmen Association gave my father full recognition as a support personnel of the Tuskegee Airmen at his Home-going service in February of 2008. I was honored at their display of loyalty to one of their own. My father did not tell me about his time at Tuskegee until the mid 1990s, about the time that the black pilots at Freeman Field disturbed the segregated base with their bold entrance into the all white officer's club on the base.
I taught American history for 16 years in the Atlanta area and have visited the Tuskegee Airbase which has a very nice museum. I am interested in doing an in depth research project on the "Freeman Field Mutiny." If you have any detailed information, however tangential to the topic, I would be grateful if you would assist me in identifying any resources that may shed light on the "Freeman Field Mutiny."
I thank you for taking the time to respond to my request.
Truly,
Mr. Cotton
