KEPT A/C UNDER CONTROL AND DOWN THE RWY ON NOSE WHEEL AND LEFT MAIN WHEEL UNTIL AIRSPEED STARTEDTO BLEED OFF. THEN TURNED BTWEN RWY LIGHTS ONTO A GRASS AREA AND IT CAME DOWN ONTO THE BROKEN OFF STUB OF THE LEFT MAIN. PULLED POWER TO IDLE CUTOFF AND PROP TO 90 DEGREES HORIZONTAL SO AS NOT TO STRIKE THE PROP. A/C WENT STRAIGHT UNTIL BROKEN STRUT CAUGHT IN HIGHER GRASS AND TURNED A/C 90 MOVED A/C TO HANGER. CALLED SOUTH BEND FSDO WHO SENT MR JONES TO LOOK AT THE A/C. DECIDED TO CALL IT AN "INCIDENT". DOES NOT FIT SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE CRITERIA. PHOTOS. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION OBTAINED VIA EMAIL FROM FLYING CLUB OFFICER.
