The link that took me to this site says the runaway is at 15 ft. elevation, while here you say 50 ft. My real question for you though is what percentage of Ocean Shores will remain above sea level long term. Recent research places the most likely increase in sea level at 26 ft. (over hundreds of years) due to global warming. I am wondering how much if any of Ocean Shores will be left then. I have decided for the sake of heirloam ownership (multi-generational) never to buy any land that might in a future generation be underwater. My impression of the Ocean Shores community is that it is extremely vulnerable to the sea having been there twice. (Sea level due to global warming this Century may not exceed 3 feet and is secondary to concerns about shoreline erosion due to the littorial drift and more storm prone seas from global warming.)
