I was in a plane that crashed on Brushy Mountain on June 22, 1965. The pilot was Earl W. Bundy of Erwin Tennessee. He was flying under contract with the US Forest Service. I believe the plane was owned by the Johnson City Airport. I was wondering if the plane was removed from the crash site or was it left there at the site. The crash site is southeast of Del Rio, TN. Do you have any information about the plane and if it was removed. I am planning a hike into that area to find it. I am now retired from the US Forest Service. I have a good idea where the crash site is. The identifying number on the side of the plane is N?424Z. I am also trying to locate some of the rescue members who came after us that day. The Rescue Squad was out of Newport. Thank you for any information you may have or can find.
