California Delta

Although not as well known as areas like the Napa Valley and Hollywood, the California Delta is a popular tourist destination near Sacramento that offers dining, lodging, recreation, and a variety of fun for the entire family. The area has a long history with its roots in the riverboating age. After the development of the automobile the area faced its demise. The Delta is a popular overnight destination for people from all over the state and lodging options include hotels, motels, inns and riverside bed and breakfasts in all price ranges. The Delta is a large area including parts of Sacramento, Antioch, Pittsburgh, and Stockton. Like many areas of California the Delta features wineries that produce some of the state's best-known wines. The wineries, in addition to a number of other spots in the Delta that are ideal for destination weddings.
