Ceja Vineyards, Napa

Napa's Ceja Vineyards can be found at 1016 Las Amigas Road in Napa, California. Mexican-American immigrant founded this winery which family owned. There have been three generations of the Ceja family running the vineyards in the Sonoma and Napa valleys. In 1999 the production company for the wine was founded with a focus on premium wines. The first wine vintage did not occur until 2001.

In 2008 the Vineyards wine production was estimated at ten thousand cases each year. The facility is open to the public each day beginning at eleven in the morning for wine tasting. The facility closes at nine in the evening on Thursday through Saturday and at six in the evening Sunday through Wednesday. Wine tasting is held at 1248 First Street in the Wine Tasting Room.

The Ceja Vineyards are located to San Francisco's northeast about forty miles and the climate is moderate. The Pacific Ocean's cool breezes, moist air and fog create the climate. The Coastal Range protects the area from the harsh weather. The grapes in the area stay on vines longer because of the weather giving them better development of the flavor and a higher acidity. Additional information can be obtained by contacting the facility directly.
