Napa Valley Symphony

Napa Valley Symphony started in 1933 under the guidance of Luigi Catalano. He was the director of Napa Conservatory of Music. He started the symphony as a way for students and volunteer musicians to provide music to the community. During WWII it was silent, but it reformed in the late 1950s. The first professional manager was put in position in 1981, and under this management the symphony flourished. Today the Napa Valley Symphony is still providing programs and music to the local community, as well as visitors to Napa.

Each season the music will change to provide entertaining shows. The pianist, conductor, even the members can change with the season. The season is from September to May. All of the concerts are held on Sundays at 3pm at the Lincoln Theater in Napa Valley. Some of the musicians include Orien Weiss, JoAnn Fallette, Marnie Breckenridge, Kazem Abdullah, Ragnar Bohlin, Dmitry Sitkovestky, and Navah Perlman.

The Festival of Trees is a special event that happens each year. Tickets are $90 per person. The Festival is in December for one day only as a fashion show and luncheon. There is a first course, main course, and dessert as part of the lunch.
