Salvestrin Winery

Salvestrin Winery is located at Main Street in St Helena Napa Valley, California and is approximately one and half hour's drive from San Francisco. The vineyard was originally planted in 1860 by Dr George Crane but has been owned by the Salvestrin family since 1932. It is a total of 26 acres and visitors will also be able to view the family garden and stay at the Inn at Salvestrin Estate.

There are a variety of wines produced at the estate including Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese, Zinfandel, Merlot and Petite Sirah. Visitors to the winery can try the wines produced here at the wine tasting sessions and will need to make an appointment prior to their visit. Groups of six are given a tour of the vineyard and the barrel room as well as the chance to taste current release wines. Larger groups can be accommodated but arrangements must be made in advance.

The Inn at the estate was the former home of Dr Crane and was originally built in 1879. Guests can stay at this non smoking accommodation, which is surrounded by the vineyards and is close to the winery. It is also within walking distance of the shops, restaurants and parks of downtown St Helena.
