Sierra Repertory Theatre

Located in California's Sierra Nevada foothills, the Sierra Repertory Theatre (SRT) has been presenting a broad range of theatrical literature as professional non-profit group since 1980. Performers and staff are paid a living wage as the SRT makes its contribution to Sonora's economy, culture and spirit.

The group's productions have won many accolades from the press, the California Arts Council, and the National Endowment for the Arts for artistic and management excellence. In 1997, the SRT was chosen as the resident theater company at the Historic Fallon House in Columbia State Historic Park. Since then, more than 1,400 performances have been staged here, with nearly a quarter million patrons in attendance over the years.

Today, 10 main-stage shows are presented each year, from world classics to contemporary favorites and experimental work, not just at the Fallon House but also at the East Sonora Theater. The SRT employs a staff of 30 and some 200 artists annually. Supporting the group are 2,400 season subscribers, over 1,000 donors, and hundreds of volunteers.

The East Sonora Theatre is located at 13891 Mono Way, Sonora, California 95370, and the Fallon House Theatre can be found at 11175 Washington Street, Columbia, California 95310. Recent titles have included Hairspray The Musical, The Full Monty, and Boeing-Boeing as well as Annie Get Your Gun, Paint Your Wagon, and Oklahoma!
