Skyline Wilderness Park

Nestled in the foothills of Napa Valley, Skyline Wilderness Park has been providing an opportunity to experience nature at its untrammeled best since 1983. The land here, which features woods, valleys, and hilltops, had been purchased by a group of concerned citizens four years earlier. Fences, parking areas, a kiosk, and a sewer system were constructed with bond money, and an old barn was converted into a social center.

Today, many activities and features can be enjoyed at Skyline Wilderness Park. There are 15 miles of trails for hiking, horseback riding, and biking, an expansive picnic area for gatherings of all kinds, and a Disc Golf Course for recreation. The Martha Walker Garden also provides an area for tranquil solitude, surrounded by beautiful flora.

Camping is quite popular at Skyline Wilderness Park, too. There are spaces for up to 39 recreational vehicles to park, 19 of which have full hook-ups, at a cost of $32~$35 per night. For tent camping, up to 20 tents can be accommodated for $15 per night, with showers and restrooms nearby. Additionally, there are ten spacious horse camping sites with water and picnic tables, each of which can house two horses and two rigs.

Skyline Wilderness Park is located at 2201 Imola Avenue, Napa, California 94559-3600. Park hours are from 8am to 5pm daily. Visitors with dogs should note that their pets are not allowed on the trails.
