There are many posts related to the cities of Santa Maria, Lompoc, Goleta, and Santa Barbara. Many people in the Ventura County thread have knowledge on these cities. To me it seems simple as merging these current threads in the CA forum to the Ventura County sub forum and giving the sub-forum a title change.

No need to give us our own sub-forum. Please consider this request in this new year. I already noticed San Francisco and Oakland titles and topics were combined.

Thank you so much and have a happy new year!

Ventura County and Santa Barbara county do not share the same MSA or CSA, so my answer would be no. Ventura County is technically part of the Greater Los Angeles area while Santa Barbara County is not. Since the New Jersey forum was unsuccessful with creating a "South Jersey" sub-forum(all of which meet the CSA threshold btw), I don't see why changing the name of the sub-forum to include Ventura County would be fair.

Technicalities aside, many people already post questions about Santa Barbara in the Ventura County sub-forum and technicalities aside, some consider southern Santa Barbara County, to be apart of the Greater Los Angeles area. The San Francisco and Oakland sub forum share names as well as the Riverside and San Bernardino sub-forum. Santa Barbara is only an hour and half from the San Fernando Valley (LA proper). Some actors do the commute. Santa Barbara is a huge tourist area and Ventura County locals can assist in answering questions. And this site gets funding from tourist agencies and realtors, so it seems like a smart business choice.
