I can't stop crying. How did I get so lucky. I'm so proud.

Poem to You

I cannot believe how far I've come

With the best caring, loving family

Who adopted me from Vietnam,

I cannot believe how far I've come

From education, mistakes, & from being dumb

You’re always there; you make me feel glad,

That I’m in America,

With a great Mom and Dad

I cannot believe how far we've come

12 lucky years and look how I've become!

That’s why we celebrate my very special day,

Your love fills my life far beyond what words can say,

I cannot believe my birthday’s near

My birthday will be great,

It comes just once, and I will cheer

To ice skate and stay up late!

For families always stick together

And be there for each other,

Let’s just share a moment and

Hug and be altogether.

Thanks Mattie. It's these little moments of victory which make the whole journey worth while.

The beauty of a family built by adoption summed up in the words of your sweet daughter!

Adoption builds families and saves lives.

I have no doubt that you were meant to be the mother of this child and yours was the family that was meant for her.

That's a combination of a wonderful child and some very good quality child raising.

Thank you for sharing.

Wow. I'm about as sentimental as a slab of granite, but that poem touched me.

Thank you very much. This young lady is extremely shy and very much a homebody while her sister (only 4 months younger) is a little social butterfly. She also has learned to express herself in her writing and her school work. These girls, as well as their 30 year old Korean born sister were definitely the right children for us. In The Grab Bag of Life we all won!
