I am new to the forum, and searched through previous postings and didn't see any threads regarding: sorry if repost. ANY help, suggestions, or recommendations are much appreciated. Thanks.

First off, you're taking a huge risk having an 'outdoor wedding' in Ohio! But you probably have already considered this. For that reason though, there probably aren't a lot of places to have an outdoor wedding on public property. The only outdoor weddings I've been to in NE Ohio were on private property - and of course it rained at 1 of the 2! I think all of the country clubs offer the option to have an outdoor wedding (Glenmoor in Jackson Twp. & Congress Lake in Lake Twp. come to mind). Those are probably good starting points and I'd just look up recreational halls in the yellow pages and start calling places to see if they offer them.

You might want to try Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens About, it's beautiful there! One of my favorite places and they're always having weddings.

Default Springlake Party Center in Lakemore

My friend got married here 2 summers ago. She really liked it. Very pretty place. As far as I know, anyone can rent it out.
Springlake Party Center

From what I remember her saying, it wasn't that crazy expensive.

Depending on when the wedding is, same could be said anywhere. This weekend in Ohio the weather has been nothing but sun. Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday all were and will be sunny and warm. This weekend and Monday we have had highs in the upper 80s.

I got married at Chestnut Ridge Park in Kenmore. We had to pay the City of Akron $35 for the day. It is completely set up for a wedding. It has a stone stage area and a stone seating area. I couldn't find any pictures online to post so...if you want I can e-mail you pics of my wedding, message me if you are interested. Good luck with the wedding plans!!

I got married at the Conrad Botzum Farmstead in Peninsula. The Virtual Gallery and Paintings of Gerald "Jerry" Botzum Indiana Artist, Oil and Watercolor, Plein Air and Studio Painter or botzum.org - can't remember which.

If you want outdoors, go to the Cuyahoga Valley National Park area... there are lots of locations and because it is a national park ,there will be little or no money to pay. I had my reception last October at Hale Farm and Village, but I know they can do outdoor ceremonies there too. Check with the Park Rangers in a visitor center and I am sure they can give you a good list of ideas!
