I've never had allergies before, but I suspect I do now. For the past couple of weeks, I've had itchy eyes and have been sniffling/sneezing a lot more than usual. I'm also experiencing occasional (very mild) shortness of breath. It's that last one that concerns me. I don't see breathing issues listed on many websites as a common symptom of allergies. It only happens sporadically, and seems to quickly subside when I drink a lot of water.
Has anyone experienced this before? Is it common, or should I think about getting checked out?
The itchy eyes and sneezing sounds like an inhalant allergy.
The shortness of breath could be a part of it as your lungs may be congested.
So it is relieved by drinking water? You were dehydrated.
Stress can also cause shortness of breath if your body is tense you can't expand your ribs to breath sufficiently.
Otherwise you should see your doctor about that.
