Airlines Treat People with Allergies Worse than Dogs

P.S. Maybe we should look at this issue from another perspective (which I've considered many times as a pet owner), and address WHY people want to travel with non-service animals in the cabin... it's because of the deplorable manner in which pets are transported otherwise, in noisy under-plane cargo holds with potentially hazardous temperatures. If they designated a climate-controlled space JUST for pets on planes, I'm sure fewer of us would choose to take them in the cabin. I know that would make a difference to me!

I just asked my colleague, who was a flight attendant in the 1960's-70's; and she said one (non-service) crated animal was allowed in each cabin BACK THEN. So I change my former answer of 22+ years to 50+ years this has been a thing. Again, I realize it's more prevalent now, but to say it's a new phenomenon is 100% false.
