I have comment on the current HRT post in H&W but want to add more here. It's just a rather sorry thing that conventional MD's do not test DHEA levels, or maybe some do I don't know. The best reason I can think of it's not a prescription drug and one can buy it OTC for very little. Life Extension is major in this DHEA research.

It's been a salvation in my years of taking it which is about 15 yrs or so, and at 79, no dryness and libido is strong and I even have sexy dreams. A partner is not in my life and don't want one, but I'm just saying and MANY of you have partners. I have good memory, not moody, and pretty youthful skin at 79.

DHEA; The Most Underrated Supplement For Women?

Get your levels tested, you MAY be majorally shocked at how low they are....

Reading around, getting sugar obesity under control seems to have the most benefit.

Life extension has a few good articles - Men , Women , DHEA

Longecity thread has a similar thread - Pine pollen and heavy metal chelation were some options among many others.

I found this ARTICLE very informative as well , has a little bit of everything.

Since we have been discussing Dr. Sherry Rogers lately and I own a book of her's, she does discuss DHEA in her book. I have been been taking 25mg for a couple decades and she talks about 25mg for women. I get lab tests over years, more early on but not as much now...I know my levels are optimal and even now sip some days of taking it. My levels were LOW when I was first tested.
