I know about the Fight or Flight which hit me in about 1999. Emotional trauma.

I'd like to place this in H&W but maybe it will be moved over there. STRESS is not alternative.

Correct, it's mainstream conventional medicine. Mainstream sources advise to minimize and learn how to manage stress - meaning chronic stress. It's sometimes referred to as The Silent Killer. Chronic stress weakens the immune system which can ultimately manifest illness. The American Medical Association says that stress is the basic cause of more than 60% of human illness and disease. There are some individuals around who will fight you tooth and nail on this, but they are rejecting 21st century mainstream medical advice.

On the other hand, the source claiming that you will never get sick again is a bit much. Theoretically maybe, but modern lifestyles are full of stress. Learning how to manage it successfully is key but not so easy. Proper nutrition, adequate sleep and physical activity are just as important for immune health as managing stress.

Learning to MANAGE our stressful lives is KEY. Not to let it control our total being. Meditation is a major support system on this Stress issue. When I mentioned my Fight/Flight time, I was in another place in my life and timing has a lot to do with all of the situations we COULD be hit with. I was in a much more vulnerable place at that time. But I made it thru but my body and mind felt it for years. And also years of practice with life's stresses, I've learned to NOT React immediately to situations and to even sleep on issues for a while and things can come out so much clearer and manageable.
