There is one like that in Havasu. It really does seem like a no brainer for a gas station to have one of those if they have the space.

As someone who used to do landscaping for a career, I miss California's much greater diversity of landscape plant species. The plant palette in metro Phoenix is much more limited due to the climate and can become boring to me.

Love compared to California? Everything. Hate compared to California? Nothing at all. I cannot think of anything the coastal sewer has over Arizona. More homeless, I guess? More narcotics. Unfortunately demographics have taken there toll on AZ and it unfortunately is looking far to familiar to the neighboring coastal s-hole.

Not just Phoenix, but about every large metro area in the country share a lot of similarities.

if it's doing so well then why does that mall in Desert Hills (where the Dillard's is) look so empty?

That was a real nice mall back in the day. I assign it partially at fault for the decay around Metrocenter and Christown, as it was built at the peak of outward suburban expansion and malls. Still is nice but it has declined.

my son works at arrowhead mall; that place is packed all the time, so I dont see any decline at all going on there..we've only lived here for 2 years, so I cant speak to how it was before then, but, otherwise, that mall, and all the stores in the entire bell road/83rd avenue area are packed most of the time..

Down in the Valley slumming again, eh?

Oh, I know: Prescott doesn't have any decent ethnic restaurants.
