Feel like some people on this board might have some ideas to contribute.

Why does Marta have such large police officers? Could that not be health and safety issue, in case they need to run somebody down.

Realistic suggestions. Those cost money, which the transit agency is in short of.

For MARTA to become a realistic transportation alternative, lines need to be expanded to where people actually go:

1. Cumberland/Vinings (75,000 jobs + Mall + Convention Center) = 30+ Million visitors annually.
2. Alpharetta / NorthPoint (50,000 jobs + Mall) = 15+ Million visitors annually.
3. Six Flags / Fulton Industrial Blvd (10,000 jobs + Amusement Park) = 5+ Million visitors annually.
4. Stone Mountain = 4+ Million visitors annually.

The goal should be to spend funds wisely to increase ridership to high volume destinations while reducing surface vehicle traffic instead of building stations in areas with low ridership origination.

Will not work until Cobb County approves the MARTA sales tax. State mandate that MARAT cannot operate outside the counties that collect sales tax to fund it.
I also doubt that Cumberland got 10 million visits less than the entire City of Atlanta, that just broke 40M in 2012.

I think "Increasing service" / "adding lines", even specific lines has been suggested before. Its like telling BMW to be a better car company by "selling more cars".

Ideas to raise more money, save more money, or do better with what they have are probably the best ideas.

that's tourism— i think he means 'trips' including people who live in the metro area as well as tourists.
