In many places in the Atlanta metro area, I often smell a perfume-like scent presumably coming from some kind of tree or flower. It's similar to baby powder. Does anyone know what this might be?

Horse Chestnut trees emit a distinct odor when they blossom. We had one in the yard of our Atlanta home. To me, it had kind of a sickly-sweet smell.
