Greenstone Starting Construction On Midtown Office Tower With Goldman Sachs' Backing

Quote:
An Atlanta developer is officially going forward on a Midtown office project thanks to an investment from the private equity arm of Goldman Sachs.

Greenstone Properties is breaking ground this fall on 14th & Spring, an 11-story, 285K SF office building with 10K SF of street-level retail that will sit atop a four-story, 900-space parking deck. It has partnered with Goldman Sachs' merchant banking division. Terms of the financing were not disclosed. Crescent Communities will go vertical at the same time with its NOVEL Midtown, a 339-unit apartment tower that will sit atop the same parking deck next door to Greenstone's office project.

I absolutely love that Goldman Sachs' is backing the financing of this project. If Atlanta is attracting Goldman Sachs' financing no telling what is on the horizon. Even with Suntrust Departure, Goldman Sachs' investment shows the city is on another level.

Death to Buckhead or Parking lots in Buckhead? I don't think Buckhead will die anytime soon if ever with all that has been built there.

I was saying down with the large surface parking lots, eventually for the whole city limits including the traditionally more suburban Buckhead.

And the ugly parking decks are just as bad. Tastefully done parking decks FTW.

Midtown On Track To Deliver 338 Apartments Mid-2020

Quote:
Crescent Communities is moving forward with plans to develop Novel Midtown, one of three Atlanta multifamily projects with the Novel name.
It will sit adjacent a 250,000-square-foot glass-clad office tower, designed by HKS, being developed by Greenstone Properties.

Novel Midtown will offer 338 apartment units across 14 floors and 360,000 square feet overlooking the downtown connector, at 1150 Spring Street NW.

Units will be available in studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom configurations.

There will be 15,000 square feet of retail space on the ground floor, and a Plaza level will feature amenities like a ride-share lounge, fitness center, and resident coffee bar.
Novel Midtown’s cherry on top will be a Skydeck with “sweeping urban views” and indoor/outdoor space, according to marketing materials for the residential highrise.

It will sit atop podium parking with 814 spaces shared with Greenstone.

Project delivery is anticipated by mid-2020.
Mid-2020 seems real ambitious. No?
