This is for Atlantagreg30127 - regarding firewalls - this is something I am incredibly concerned about in a townhome (I am looking at another Centex property in Brookhaven, Danbury Parc). All they will tell me about the firewall is that it is two inches thick and lasts for two hours - and that I can see it after I put a contract in at the pre-drywall stage (the home would be new construction). Does that sound like sheetrock or would that be concrete? They were vague about it when I've been at the property and two hours just does not sound like a lot of protection to me.

This area of "Brookhaven" has a fair amount of crime. Mostly car break-ins and some house break-ins. I would make sure I had an alarm system wired (I'm assuming since the townhomes are new they will come standard). Before totally settling on this area, I would drive over to Buford Hwy and take a left and make sure I felt comfortable being so close to the seedier aspects of this particular area. Not all parts of Brookhaven are created equal and there are several low-income apartments which have become crime epicenters very close to that particular development. Not trying to be a naysayer, but justing being realistic...you would not want to be going for a walk by yourself at night outside the community gates around there. Location-wise for commuting, the area is great and you do have easy access to Midtown/Highlands/Buckhead.
