Since today, he now has eight wins and he is hotter than fire. That being said, I never did like him and his arrogance sometimes ticked me off. I am a Tony Stewart fan and have been from his IRL days. Now, He's Tony's teamate and he is schooling Tony and I'm not too happy about that but that's how it is when you mix a very talented driver with a very talented Gibbs team. I am not taking anything away from the Hendricks team. They have many accolades and more to come but this year, they are going to be eating some crow.
Bye the way, Toyota engines were snipped of their horsepower advantage and still came in first and second and proving that it's more than just the car.

When did Nascar adjust the hp in the Cup series? They changed Nationwide (Busch) before the race at ORP in Indy.

I don't recall any modifications to Cup engines.

You are correct sir. My mistake and had thought that it pertained to all Series. Shows you how much my interest in Nascar has dwindled.

I hear you! I keep hoping against hope that Nascar will remember it's roots and stop chasing news fans from the "The Fast & The Furious meets WWF" genre.

Honestly I think that NASCAR has gone way beyone it's roots and forgotten most of us who have been their loyal fans for many years----they are following the money!! They have more interest in a whole new set of fans---we are dinosaurs. Sigh........
The times they are a changin'.

And I hear you. Back in the good ol days when the good ol boys drove real stock cars, we got to enjoy real cars driven by hungry drivers.
I know that safety had and still has a big part in the "changing of Nascar" but they have gone through some huge changes in the spirit and the memories.

Well, if the races get too stale on Sunday's, I just go up to my memorabilia room and reminisce about the good old days.

I also think of the money I'm saving by only going to one race a year anymore. And I go there mostly just to tailgate with my old buddies who live 4hours in the other direction from the track. (I have to admit it almost KILLED me to give up my great Atlanta seats. But, I can no longer lay out almost $500/race plus other expenses when you consider the product NASCAR is putting on the track.)

I agree. Sadly nowdays my hubby watches "part" of the races...just checking in once in awhile to see who's where on the track and I only ask, once the race is over, who won! We "use" to sit infront of the TV and not miss a lap plus we went to several tracks several times a year. We've been to one race this year, it was a local track and I don't plan on going next year to any!!
