I'll be curious to see how well the eNASCAR concept is accepted this weekend. It just seems like NASCAR is late to the party. FormulaE has been around for a few years now. Funny thing...I was flipping channels a few weeks ago and they were just about to drop the green flag on a FormulaE race. The cars were in their staging positions.

They get the green and the cars take off and I grab my remote to turn up the sound...thinking that I had muted it. But there was NO sound! (As they went to the cockpit cams, I was able to hear the whining of the electric motor).

I actually watched the whole race. It was fairly short, maybe under an hour. The strategy was interesting, the boosts they get to use, etc... Wasn't a bad race. But NASCAR fans would not enjoy it if it didn't have sound.

Just feel that NASCAR has missed the boat on this. EV is about as diversive a subject now as this political year will be.

As I mentioned in posts before, my generation (Boomer) is fading and the next adaptation of NASCAR needs to capture the younger generations imagination and attention. EV’s will most likely be accepted by them.

I definitely agree with you 100% that EV vs ICE is quickly becoming a polarizing subject with Americans just as strong a subject as politics.

I love the idea of Hybrids but don’t like the mandates that are being made as far as EV time frames to be put in place I.e. no longer selling ICE vehicles.

Let’s evolve slowly until range and charging availability become better.
