No kidding you mean Dale Earnhardt was a threat at every track? And won 7 championships? Man i am so glad i came on this thread otherwise i would have never known that.
Allow me to simplify my point for you; Sr was consistent. I guess my statement was too long causing you to miss my point.
JR is not his father-----he never said he was and would probably really appreciate not always being compared to his father. Poor kid just wants to race....he is not great but he does ok just like the majority of other racers out there! His popularity was bestowed upon him by his fathers fans---it is what it is!! He is not my favorite driver but I sure can appreciate the situation he has been delt!
And I don't think running off his crew chief is going to make one bit of difference. I think Jr would make a better crew chief than a driver. He can't be both.
Well they've run off Jr's crw chief. I reckon we'll see if that makes any difference. I think he's skated by on Sr's name long enough. It's time he stepped up to the plate and did some driving.
Seems Tony Jr. is riding Tony Sr's coattails as well. Long enough.
What really cracks me up is how much a boner Jr. fans get come time for restrictor plate races. Though Sr. was a master at the big tracks, Jr fans forget than Sr. won 7 championships by being a threat to win at EVERY track.
