I live in the Toronto area and I had been noticing a trend
of having no wheel covers/hub caps.
Is this supposed to look cool?
Some even add chrome lug nuts
Maybe I'm old school but I don't get it.
Sometimes on a black car it looks cool but
to me it usually makes the car look "unfinished".
Also, I'm thinking it might be just a Toronto trend,
when I went down to Buffalo recently I only saw one car
without wheel covers, an old 70's beater
Many people in the snow belt leave their hubcaps off the car when switching to winter tires and rims then put the hubcaps back on in the spring with the summer tires..
When I had a car with wheel covers, I took them off. If I had a new car with wheel covers, I might take them off. My truck is missing a center cap- I never put it back on after a brake job several years ago.
