In the short time I've been posting here, it seems a lot of the people that post in here are more of a typical consumer rather than a car enthusiast. So I thought it would be a good place to ask. I'm of the opinion that they are very competitive, and in a lot of cases now better than their foreign competitors (the compact segment is a good example of this). I'm very well versed in the automotive landscape, so be prepared to back up whatever your opinion is.
I love Pontiac too. I always thought the Grand Prix was a neat looking car, and the G8 has amazing performance. The refreshed G6 looked pretty good too. GM definitely lost a few sales from me, same goes for Oldsmobile, I still think the Aurora looks great.
I like some Asian and European stuff too, but I just want to see how many people are out there that still think the Big three are crap.
There are many American cars that I would own. Quality has continually improved over the years. The retro stuff that has been coming out over the past 10 years is kind of cool, but I think that American car companies need to be looking to the future instead of the past. There are many European/Asian car owners that can be won over with the right product.
