I was going to post similar to this. I have a 2007 Ford F-150 supercrew with 6 ft bed. Lots of room, horrible mileage, but for a few 1000 miles perfect for me.
The Lexus s is a good choice. The Tesla model s is nice, but I would look at a 2014 or 2015 Audi s7 or rs7 or s8. Fast, luxury, and sporty.
I have a Lexus ls460 and am considering going with an Audi to replace it.get a tune for less than 2k and have about 700 hp.
Given a total budget of $100,000 for 3 vehicles and the following use cases, what would you guys recommend. Also, if we were to bump the budget up to $150,000, where would you put the money and what vehicles would you go with?
Vehicle 1: Wife's daily driver, also used as family SUV for longer road trips, two row seating is fine, 8k-10k miles per year
Vehicle 2: Husband's daily driver, sporty/quick but not really looking for a track car, 2 seater is fine but certainly not required, 10k-12k miles per year
Vehicle 3: Pickup truck for pickup truck stuff (hauling firewood, small moves, taking to football tailgates, etc), 2k-4k miles per year
All the vehicles should have modern technology conveniences like heated seats, adapative cruise control and/or basic self-driving (I know I'm not getting a full autopilot Tesla here), Carplay/Android auto (or if not that, then at the very least bluetooth and a good navigation system; perhaps a little more wiggle room on the truck for this requirement). No manual transmissions even on the sportier car. Located in Alabama so not too concerned about performance in the mountains or snow. Reliability and safety should be a given, and the fact that modern conveniences and comfort is important probably eliminates most cars made before 2016-2017 (though again, I probably have a little more flexibility here with the truck). I expect most recommendations to be ICE, but am open to hybrids and electrics as well.
Here's what I've come up with so far (all reasonably well optioned):
2019-2020 Toyota Highlander or 2022 Kia Telluride (~35-40k)
2018 BMW 330i (~30k)
2013-2015 Ford F150 (~30-35k)
If I were to increase the budget to $150k:
2022 Kia Telluride or 2021 Toyota 4runner (~45-50k)
2018-2019 BMW M4 (~60-65k)
2015-2017 Ford F150 (~35-45k)
What would yall reccommend?
None of the above.. all 3 driven under 12k a year...I’d lease. No chance I’d pay overpay. Plus if it stays this hard to get a car (price wise), you’d make money at buyout time.
Well if I have $100,000 to spend on cars that means all the other priorities are covered, so...
1966 Mustang Fastback: $65,000
1965-66 Mustang convertible: $34,500
1989 Yugo: $500 (since I had to pick 3)
EDIT: I responded before actually reading the OP. I answered as if I had $100k to blow on something fun. I was confused by how lame some of the options people cited were until reading the actual post! Carry on!

For Ben...
Piper Cherokee Six - for mom and the kids, safe, and room for all
Super Decathelon - for dad, sporty and sorta fast, put big tires on and land it anywhere
DC3 - flying pickup truck
For the OP and other posters - Bwahahaha! You need to price cars lately, a Rav4 is $35,000 these days!
My picks:
Toyota 4 Runner 4WD - For mom and the kids. $55,000.
Corvette - For dad. And mom need not worry. Vetts don't attract women seeking men, they attract MEN who like Corvettes! $65,000
F150 - Lariat FX4 4WD 2.7L $75,000 - but too nice to dump bricks into.
Welcome to the "new normal," where pickups cost more than Corvettes.
AND - everyone needs...
A Jeep Wrangler - $10,000 - $65,000 because it's just plain fun to drive and will take you anyplace 4 wheels can go!
Used Dodge Ram Laramie. Post 2009 with Ramboxes. Makes no sense to spend 65K on a new one. Although. if you want something fun and do not need a lot of cargo capacity, a Gladiator would be a blast. In fact Dad could probably happily just drive that.
2005 Thunderbid for Dad or maybe a 2005 Volvo S60R or if it can be found a 2009 Pontiac G8 GXP. Maybe a Miata. Lots of nice options depends on preference. If you can find an affordable one, a fully restored Jensen Interceptor Convertible woudl be awesome but that will eat up most of the budget. Even a Bolt EUV might be kinda fun if you insist on something new.
Full size Chevy Express conversion van for mom with a really nice conversion. A few years old ifs fine figure it can go 250K miles without any real problems.
