I buy them locally from the dealerships, or just NAPA and other cabin filter brands. The only difference relates to being a HEPA filter or not.

Yup. I have gotten counterfeit motorcraft parts. Usually a giveaway is if they are sold by a vendor who's name is suspiciously Chinese.

I usually order my consumables for my vehicles from Rockauto.

With regards to air filters, I've never noticed any appreciable difference within any of the major brands that are OE-quality.

I spent my entire youth with a side kick open air vent it my cars...... never needed "filtering". I breathe the air outside all the time without a filter. If it ain't clogged, causing issues, I don't change it.

I’m ok with a basic low grade filter to help extend the life of the AC/heat. Combine high humidity with debris and you fat restricted coils, bacteria growth, and clogged condensate drain.

Ah yes - sucking in exhaust fumes and asbestos dust from the brake pads. Those were the days.

I haven't noticed much issues with after market filters, usually bought from rockauto, sometimes cross reference and buy from Amazon. But once I bought the charcoal activated variety and the car interior started smelling funny. Now I stick to regular filters.

yeah, i just buy a decent mid-range brand from Rock Auto. 10 minutes, done $15. No over-thinking. My car cabin is hardly a hermetically sealed place, needing lab-grade filtration.

Ha, must be some benefit to breathing those things, I'm almost 80 and healthy as ever.... Not meds, no issues.
Probably drop dead tomorrow. LOL

Fleet Filter is a good source for filters at a reasonable price. Or just order from NAPA if they don't have your filter in stock.
