Do what I did. Turned around and informed the negligent parent of the issue. Over and over and over until it stopped. Like, what are they going to do on a plane besides get mad?

If you want "your space" back, recline your seat. You seem to fall into a category called "it's all about me".
People paid for a set with recline, therefore, they are entitled to use it.

Between our passenger briefing (SIT DOWN, SHUT UP, COFFEE'S FOR THE CREW, WAKE ME UP ON SHORT FINAL) and the engine noise, we had no problems with chatty passengers.

Oh really now? Hey bud. I have news for you. People pay for those few inches of recline, and I for one will use them as necessary. Ugh!
