Doesn't make sense. Sure you can use used cooking oil to make jet aircraft fuel BUT is there enough waste oil to make this anything but a stunt? How "sustainable" is it? Currently, 86 BILLION gallons of Jet A are used per year globally. We use about 65 billion gallons of cooking oil worldwide. Imagine the cost to collect every gallon of used cooking oil and converting it into Jet-A.

^This. There isn't anywhere near enough waste cooking oil to fuel all the commercial flights. If you grow crops specifically for oil, like palm oil, that's not even close to a sustainable fuel. Jet fuel refined from crude oil is going to be with us for quite a bit longer.

Used Cooking oil makes crummy jet A (many other feed stocks are better, for use at cold temps).
Several other flights (during the last 20 yrs) have used other alternative feedstocks., including synthetic SAF.
Algae based Fuel flows quite well at cold temps, and is not a good crop (and easy to grow cheap as scrubber material at power plants. It's not inexpensive to convert to fuel, yet
