Thanks for those links Irman. I will follow up on the link to Butch Lottman. I think a friend of mine may know him. I will be lurking in the Yahoo groups until I feel I have something to add or know enough about the topic to ask good questions.

In the aerosports link I didn't see anything close to where I am moving. I am looking for more property in NW Kansas and hopefully it will have a good site for a small strip. I have an interest in the family farm in the NW Kansas area and it is as flat as a floor and would be ideal as a landing strip but it is leased for farming and our tenant farmer might not want to put up with my hobby. We don't want to do anything to make him unhappy because he is one of the best farmers in the State LOL.

At my current weight an Ultra-light aircraft big enough to fly me around would no longer be an ULTRALIGHT. I would like to try one anyway.
