Hello, I hope everyone is doing well.

I just accepted a job in Baltimore so naturally I want to ask and research the best areas to live near Baltimore. We have a 9 year old so we are looking at places with good schools. So far Bel Air and Aberdeen have made the list. How is the commute to Baltimore from these places? My commute now is just over an hour so anything less than that would be a plus.

Lastly, can someone point me towards a rental company that rents houses and townhomes? We also have a small dog so a dog friendly place is a must.

Well that’s it for now. If you think of other places please let me know. Thank you.

You may want to consider Howard County, which is located just south of Baltimore city. It's an affluent county; the drive into the city is easy; and its public schools are ranked either #1 or #2 in the State of MD, depending on who you ask.

There are posters here from the greater Baltimore area who can address your concerns. Perhaps you should've posted your inquiry on the main MD forum. Hopefully, they'll find this thread.

Thank you for the advice. I’ll post it there also.
