Recently I recently had the great pleasure of giving my business to Washburn Electric, in Dover-Foxcroft. I needed a major house wiring project done and had heard from others that Washburn Electric was highly regarded. Brent Washburn came to my house and spent time, with me, walking through the house and making many helpful suggestions about the placements of switches and outlets. He gave me an estimate that was a fair market rate and stayed within that estimate. As a female who is not too knowledgeable about electrical matters, Brent was very patient and generous with his explanations. He also wired my place for a generator and is helping me locate a generator that is appropriate for my needs. No request was too small for Brent to address. He is extremely honest, prompt and curteous. I look forward to giving my future business to BW and hope that others who need an honest electrician will see for yourself...a local Maine business owner !

Default Five more stars for Brent Washburn

I recently bought a house in Brownville and I am still moving stuff in. On Friday, I had no hot water and I called Washburn Electric at 9:15 p.m. and Brent answered. I told him what happened and he asked me a bunch of questions like was the breaker tripped and he said he'd be there on Saturday morning around 8 a.m. with parts for the water heater. He called on Saturday at 9 a.m. and said he was running late so I zipped out to Reuben's Country Store in Milo to return the U-Haul trailer and I was running late so I called Brent and told him I had left the side door unlocked and for him to go in.

I had taken the two panels off the water heater and turned up the thermostats a little and pushed the reset button a few times and turned the breaker off and on several times, but still no hot water.

What a nice guy. Unfortunately the water heater was working on Saturday morning but I decided not to cancel the service call, because I wanted to find out what went wrong, but there was nothing Brent could do. He thought that maybe one side of the double pole breaker had malfunctioned. Brent was very helpful and gave me a lot of information and I got a quote from him to do some additional work in a couple of weeks.
