The Mets have lost quite a few former players over the past few months. Ron Hodges, Buddy Harrelson, Jim McAndrew, Ken McKenzie, and now Pat Zachry and Jerry Grote.

Terrible news on Senga. I hope Baty can keep his hot start up. He looks confident in the field and at the plate. Like he mentally slowed the game down-a key to success.

I have his 1969 baseball card. I keep thinking about building a display wall to show off my cards, & honor the MLB'ers from my childhood who have passed. They are doing nothing sitting in boxes.

I loved the 1969 miracle Mets. I was in the Hamptons that Summer at my Grandparents beach bungalow as a kid w/ the measles, so I was quarrantined. Those playoff games was all I had.
