Orioles fell off the win wagon today against the Red Sox. Atlanta however surged to a shutout loss to Washington and now are 0-8.

The Twins pushed their record to 0-9 with a loss to the White Sox. The Braves are going for their 9th loss against the Nationals.

Already knowing that the Twins had lost, the pressure was on the Braves to keep pace, and they came through, dropping their game to Washington, 6-2.

The difference was a grand slam home run hit by Bryce Harper.

It was his first grand slam

It was his 100th career home run.

It hit the scoreboard and busted one of the display panels.

According to something I heard on the radio today this is the first time 2 teams are starting a season 0-9 since 89......................and that's 1889, more than 125 years ago!

Ah, the Braves were unable to make it ten in a row, breaking their victory virginity for 2016 with a 6-3 pounding of the Marlins.

The Twins are hanging in there however, trailing the Angels 4-2 in the 7th as I type.

Uh-oh, the Twins are choking, they tied it up in the 8th. Their dreams of a perfect season may be going up in smoke.

In their first eleven games the Braves have hit just three home runs, a pace which would leave them with 44 for the entire season.

Orioles have not won since their 8-0 start, losing the last three.

The Braves and the Twins have not lost since losing their first nine, each team winning their last three.

Hadn't noticed, I'll look.

Last night I saw the Arizona Diamondbacks new road uniforms which are this color I'd describe as dirt grey, which close up looks okay, but from a short distance away look like white uniforms which have not been laundered for about three months...and maybe worn by chimney sweeps between games. I'm trying to imagine who reviewed this and said...yeah, that's a good look.
