Phillies new manager Gabe Kapler was booed when introduced at the home opener. Kind of a bad sign.

nothing surprising - booing Santa and Michael Irvin ----they'll not hesitate to boo - kind of in their genes......

they're lucky they're not fans of my 1-6 team Rays who'll they'll play in a week or so and have a chance to sweep

Are you not aware of how poorly he's managed his pitching staff so far. It's embarrassing. He'd get booed anywhere for what he's done, including in Tampa Bay.

Inexcusable defensive positioning.

The early indications are that the home run record won't be broken again this season.

In 2017, there was a home run every 27 at bats. In 2018 so far it has been a home run every 32 at bats.

Yes the weather is still cold and the ball travels better when it warms up, but the difference is fairly large. Yes the season is only ten days along, but there have already been more than 7600 plate appearances, so the database has utility.

Great, you're going through the trouble of logging on here to bash the Rays even on their days off. Sounds perfectly sane. Yep.

I assume you gave up on the team in 2011 as well when they started the year 1-8 and went on to make the post-season.

Unless it worked. Then it would be called advanced Sabermetrics.

Dude, the Tampa Bay Rays suck so much that they don't even have their own thread like the other teams on this sub-forum.

The cold weather probably does have an effect, it's been record cold for most of the country the past few days
