I may try to get the 2009 NL East division champs locker room T-shirt at the Modell's near CBP before or after I go to the Phillies' season finale on Sunday. Usually I don't like to get division title T-shirts (reserve that for pennant/conference and overall/league championship wins), but I received as gifts both the 2007 and 2008 NL East champions T-shirts after they won the division each of the last 2 years and I'd feel a little odd if I didn't have the 2009 T-shirt.
LOL, bunch of rookies. I have/had plenty of those division champs t-shirts. I'm border-line cynical right now, but congratulations on winning the NL East.
It's not about how much you spend, but what you spend it on, and the Phillies for the most part have spent wisely. Whatever happens in this post-season, this team is in good shape for the future. Hamels will be better next year, and they'll add some pitching over the winter. This team has the potential to lock the NL East up for quite some time.
I wish the Braves would've made it. They chose the right time to start working, but they blew too many games in the beginning of the season. As a result no playoffs. I would like to see the Rockies beat the Phillies. I would so love it. Maybe cuz the Phillies are in the same division as the Braves
No division champs T-shirt or hat for me, I'm holding out for the World Champions gear. I bought a 2007 NL East Champs shirt, but that's when it was still a big deal just to be in the playoffs.
This year, anything short of a second straight World Series trophy is a failure.
