Brooks is a punk. He got Gary Payton II injured last season. Now this with LeBron. Like Green he will probably get one game but deserves much more.

Draymond Green's suspension will lose all credibility if Dillon Brooks doesn't receive the same punishment

If the NBA wants the past-conduct precedent it set by suspending Draymond Green to maintain a shred of credibility, the Memphis Grizzlies will be playing without Dillon Brooks Monday night in Game 4 of their first-round series against the Lakers.

Why? Because Brooks was ejected from Game 3 on Saturday night for a flagrant-2 groin shot on LeBron James. A flagrant-2 doesn't automatically equal a one-game suspension, but when the league openly announced that Green's punishment was "based in part on Green's history of unsportsmanlike acts," it set a precedent that known dirty players are going to punished differently, even for similar or even identical acts, than those with cleaner reputations.

Brooks' reputation is anything but clean. He's widely considered to be a dirty, antagonistic player; basically Draymond Green, only not as good. And the numbers back it up. Brooks led the league this season with 18 technical fouls. His two flagrants might not sound like a lot, but nobody in the league had more than three.

Yeah but embiid didnt get suspended for his kick. Hitting the nuts with hand vs stomping someone with your legs is 2 different things. Ill rather get hit in the nuts.

Part of Green getting suspended and Embiid not is the history of the player doing this kind of thing. Embiid is not a dirty player. Green and Brooks are.

I think the nba should suspend players for a half, so it makes everyone happy. A half without a play does impact a team.

Only because of the 5 foul limit by limiting a player to a half would be like a coaches decision. That he could be used longer for that half than he would have been if rested or protected from foul trouble for a full game.

Still 24 minutes max without ot, still less than 36 or so for a star or starter. If its a rotation player it probably dorsnt matter as they might get around that amount of minutes.

But still, brooks didnt get suspended, had he been suspended for a half, at least theres some punishment on top of that ejection

Nope. Brooks is safe for now. He better be careful moving forward.

https://sports.yahoo.com/dillon-broo...%20tell%20ESPN.

Game 3 between the Los Angeles Lakers and Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday was an emotional contest, and the Lakers came out on top, 111-101, after running out to a very large lead in the first quarter. The so-called feud between LeBron James and Dillon Brooks continued after the trash talk Brooks levied during and after Game 2, and it culminated with the Grizzlies forward hitting James in the groin just after the start of the third quarter. Brooks was assessed a flagrant 2 foul and ejected as a result. However, he will not face any type of suspension or further discipline for his action against James. The NBA has reviewed Dillon Brooks' flagrant 2 foul on LeBron James and there will be no additional penalty, sources tell ESPN. League reviews all flagrant fouls.

Good win for the Knickerbockers. Very premature but I like the Knicks chances of getting into the eastern conference finals. Bucks and Philly have injuries and Knicks beat the Celtics three times during the season.

https://nypost.com/2023/04/23/knicks...-nba-playoffs/

Of course it was the Villanova connection that iced the game, Josh Hart to Jalen Brunson. Of course. They’ve been such a big part of this run together, a run that has taken the Knicks to within one win of the second round of the NBA playoffs for the first time in a decade. Hart, the trade-deadline acquisition who has worked out so much better than anyone could have envisioned, got to the offensive rebound. He found Brunson, who sank the back-breaking 3-pointer, sending the already loud and sold-out Garden to another decibel level. It gave the Knicks a 10-point lead with 1:45 left, and they would soon be celebrating a hard-fought, 102-93 victory over the favored Cavaliers at MSG, pushing their series lead to 3-1. Knickanova — the nickname given to Brunson and Hart by Post columnist Mike Vaccaro — delivered.

With Julius Randle struggling and sitting the entire fourth quarter, Brunson and Hart willed the Knicks to the win, along with RJ Barrett, who produced the best playoff game of his young career — 26 points and zero turnovers in 38 high-level minutes. Thibodeau, continuing to shed that rigid narrative about himself, went with a different closing five: Hart, Brunson, Barrett, Isaiah Hartenstein and Obi Toppin. The group put together a 15-6, fourth-quarter run that gave the Knicks command. Barrett, stepping up to the moment, scored the first five points of the spurt and Hart capped it with a driving layup over Jarrett Allen, pushing the lead to nine with 5:21 remaining.

Glad Thibs is switching it up with his lineups. Can't be married to your stars if they aren't performing.

Embiid missed. Green didn't miss. Harden didn't miss. Brooks didn't miss.

Accuracy matters.

The league said Green's suspension was based on his history.
