I see how this could work for both sides. Warriors are already old. Lebron and Green want to play together. Lebron and AD will miss too many games next year. Doing this the Lakers become a young team. No rebuild will be needed. Warriors get a 4 HOF team that has a 2 year window to win with more championship experience than the rest of the league combined.
Yes, the Warriors are already old. Adding LeBron would get them one thing on the road: senior discounts. I admit it. Klay [Thompson] is 33. Steph [Curry] is 35. LeBron’s 38. Draymond [Green] is 33. It would feel like they’re punting on the future. Oh wait, they’ve already got rid of [James] Wiseman. They’ve already punted on their big guy for the future. And they said last week that Klay, Draymond and Steph is what they’re building around. They don’t care about their future.

Yes, I saw this article. I don't think Lebron wants that. However, Green and Lebron are besties so you never know. It's definitely a business move for the Warriors and Lebron to win now.

I think the bigger question is do the Warriors re sign Klay and Draymond? Especially given they still want max deals. If they both end up leaving then that eliminates the whole question of being too old, and then it makes sense to bring in Lebron who would be a superior version of Draymond at least on the offensive side of the ball. I actually think Lebron would play well with Curry. So a lineup of Lebron, Curry, Poole, Kuminga and find a big. That's an interesting team that if everything falls the right way (injuries to other teams) could sneak into a championship.
Curry is the star on the team and his co-stars are Klay and Dray. Klay and Dray don't win without him and curry can't win without them unless they join another all star cast. Klay is not the same after the back to back injuries and he should realize that too. The warriors have a decent future with Wiggins and Poole.
I’d turn in the Warriors fan card I’ve had since 1990 if that happened.
Clearly they are not winning any more titles with the group they have now. Not beating Denver or Phoenix (after KD has a year there) or the Lakers. Or a healthy Clippers team. Either you are fine with the big 3 slowly getting older or do something bold. If these guys play 3 more years then Wiggins will be 32 by then.

I’m personally fine with the former, as they were built (KD/Wiggins aside) internally and not as a Super Friends team. I’d hate to see them become like the Lakers who trade all their youth for superstars hoping for short-term success. Lacob has also heavily hinted he wasn’t going to go another season with a $400m+ payroll if they weren’t winning championships. I’d think any blockbuster trade for a superstar would be for someone younger, not with only 1-2 good years left.

Its also what the players want I think. They have earned the right to decide how their final years will go. If the 3 superstars want LeBron, I think it will happen. I don't know if they do besides Green.
